Andrew and Jo attended the Cannock VCSE Locality Forum at The Rugeley Rose.  Firstly, what an amazing venue this was. It was a lovely community hall and then they went through to the theatre to hear the speakers.

Firstly, there was a talk from Owen who works at Rugeley Rose and he explained about how they use the space and about how they welcome members of the community with groups and the space is used as a community hub.

Next up was Step on. This is a service within the NHS that support people from 18 to 65 with mental health issues that want to return or start work. They support them through from CV writing, interview techniques to even supporting them whilst they are in their job role.

Following this, Project 93 explained the great work they were doing. This is a charity that supports the LGBTQ+ and HIV community. They are looking for safe spaces for this community by offering free training for staff to ensure everyone knows how to support them.

Lastly, there was a presentation from Pathway Project who support with domestic abuse. They spoke about ways to support and possibly recognise if a colleague may be struggling. The forum was very insightful into other services.
